The Hong Kong Arts Festival  (HKAF), founded in 1973, is an annual series of cultural programmes in Hong Kong, with many performances from other parts of the world.Held every February/March, HKAF has become an important focus of Hong Kong cultural life and promoter of the performing arts.

Genres seen and heard at the Hong Kong Arts Festival include classical music, Chinese music, world music, Western opera,Chinese opera, drama and dance. Each festival series includes concerts by each of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Hong Kong Sinfonietta. The festival also commissions performances.

The Hong Kong Arts Festival is made possible through the funding support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. Sir Run Run Shaw is a major longstanding supporter.

To promote the Hong Kong Arts Festival, there are two associated membership programmes - "Festival Friends" and the "Young Friends Scheme". To enhance public awareness and knowledge of the arts, "Festival Plus" offers workshops, talks, masterclasses, arts exchange, exhibitions and meet-the-artist sessions, during the festival period.

The programme is announced in August each year, with advance booking from the end of October until early December, and then box office sales. The Festival is a non-profit organization. About 30% of its annual income is covered by government funding, about 40% by box office revenue, and the remaining 30% comes from sponsorships and donations from corporations, individuals, and charitable foundations.
