Guangzhou is one of China’s three largest communication hubs, internet exchange center and one of the three largest internet international switches nationwide. Over the past five years, we have totally built subway lines of 120 kilometers, express ways of 216 kilometers, Bus Rapid Transit of 22.9 kilometers and municipal roads of 1860 kilometers. Inter-city railway, highway and Bus Rapid Transit develop fast. Guangzhou South Railway Station shows its function as transport hub gradually and a modern multilayered transport system has been generally formed.

The New Baiyun International Airport has 105 international airlines and 507 domestic airlines, connecting to 59 foreign cities in 31 countries and regions. As one of the three largest hubs of airlines, the New Baiyun International Airport welcomed 45.0445 million passengers in 2011, up 9.9 percent compared to that of last year. FedEx opened an Asia-Pacific hub near the airport where a bonded zone is also available there.


Harbor: Shipping lines at the Guangzhou port leading to more than 300 ports of over 80 countries and regions worldwide, and more than 100 harbors in China. The port comprises 50 berths of 10,000 ton capacity, 14 buoys of 10,000 ton capacity and 23 anchorage of 10,000 ton capacity. In 2011, the cargo throughput climbed by 5.3 percent year-on-year to 447.6331 million tones, the container throughput by 13.4 percent to 14.407 million; ranking sixth and seventh respectively in the world.
