Starting from June 6, applying for a work permit (Z Visa), private affairs(S Visa) or reunion visa (Q Visa), there is no need to submit a PU invitation letter. Foreigners applying for work visas can directly apply for work visas at the Chinese embassy with the work permit notice and other materials, and their accompanying family members can directly apply for family visas to enter the country with the proof of kinship and other materials. After cancelling the formalities for the PU invitation letter, the visa processing time will be shortened accordingly by at least 1 month.
Due to the large number of foreign embassies involved, we will now list the known countries and regions where the Chinese embassies and commissioners' offices do not require PU invitation letters to go to China mainland.
