Dongguan is conveniently located near Hong Kong and Macau, and is between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, making efficient transportation essential. The city has nation-leading road density surrounding downtown Dongguan with highways and expressways as well as a green road network. Dongguan is also located near two international airports in Guangzhou and Shenzhen and is at the intersection of the Guangdong-Kowloon, Guangdong-Shenzhen, Guangdong-Meizhou-Shantou, and Beijing-Kowloon railways.
