What is a Work Permit Card in China?
China Work Permit Card as the name indicates is the permission granted by the Chinese government for a foreign employee to work in China for a specified duration legally. A work permit card for China is known as employment permit license which will be valid for an average of 12 months.
What Materials are required for application of a Work Permit Card?
To apply for the work permit Card, the file materials for both the company which hires the applicant and the applicant will be examined:
I. Materials required for the company:
1. Certificate of Incorporation(Business license);
2. Stamp;
3. Labor Contract;
4. Company telephone number, fax number;
5. The contact information of the Legal Person of the company;
II. Materials required for the Applicant:
1. Valid Passport(with at least 6 months’ validity), Visa, record of entry and exit
2.Evidence of working experiences with two years;
3. Legalized and endorsed Non-Criminal Record;
4. Legalized and endorsed Academic certificate;
5. Labor Contracts;
6. 2-3 photos and visa photo receipt;
7. Registration form of temporary residence;
8. Certificate of health examination issued by China or overseas designated hospital;
9. Reason report for Foreign affair department;
10. Notarization and legalization to marriage certificate and birth certificate for family visa, and Chinese translation version is required if the language is not in Chinese.
How to apply for a China Work Permit Card & How long will it take?
1. Apply for a work permit letter
-- generally takes around 15 working days if materials are sufficient
2. Apply from your local Chinese embassy for the temporary Z visa(valid duration is 90 days, single entry, valid for 30 days since entry date) with the work permit notification -- takes 4 working days, but policy varies from country to country.
3. Apply for the work permit from the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs with your with your Z visa, valid passport, Heath Certificate and Labor Contract
-- takes around 10 working days.
